Terms of Service
Last updated: October 12, 2026.
These terms apply to video, design and hosting services from SetupMotion, based in Houston, Texas, USA ("we", "us"). By ordering a project or plan you ("the client") agree to them. A signed proposal or service agreement takes priority over these terms where they differ.
1. What we make
We create animated product guides, short social clips, QR video manual pages and related content from the material you provide, such as your manual, product photos, 3D files and logo. Each order lists what is included: length, languages, formats and rounds of changes.
2. Your material and accuracy
You confirm you have the right to share the material you send us and to let us use it for your project. Instructions and safety information in our videos follow your official material. You approve each script before we animate it and each video before final delivery. You remain responsible for making sure the final content is correct for your product, model and market, and for any legal or regulatory requirements that apply to your product.
3. Payment
One-off projects are paid 50% before work starts and 50% on delivery of the final files, unless your proposal says otherwise. Monthly plans are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month. Prices are in US dollars unless we agree another currency. Taxes and payment-provider fees are added where they apply.
4. Changes and timing
Each project includes the rounds of changes listed in your order. Further changes, new scenes or new languages are quoted separately. Delivery times start when we have your material and your approved script. Delays in feedback move the delivery date.
5. Rights
When you have paid in full, you receive a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, copy, publish and edit the delivered videos for your products, marketing, listings, website and customer support. You keep all rights to your own logos, trademarks and material. We keep the rights to our own tools, templates, characters, illustrations and music we use across projects. Licensed music, fonts and voices are covered by their own licenses, which allow this commercial use. We may show finished work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to in writing, or unless you received a founding-client discount that includes permission to show the work.
6. QR video manual pages
We host your QR video manual pages for as long as your plan is active, including the first free year when it comes with a guide. We aim for high availability but cannot promise uninterrupted service. If a plan ends, we can redirect the QR code to a page you choose for 90 days so printed codes keep working, and we will send you your video files on request.
7. Refunds
The start payment covers script and design work and is not refundable once work has started. If we fail to deliver what your order describes, we will fix it or refund the payments for the part we did not deliver.
8. Liability
Our total liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid for that project, or for monthly services, the fees paid in the last three months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Confidentiality
We keep your unreleased products, files and business information confidential and only use them for your project. Partners and agencies using our white-label service: we never contact your clients.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Questions: hello@setupmotion.com.
